FAQ

YOU’VE SPOKEN AT CORPORATIONS? WHY WOULD A CHILDREN’S BOOK AUTHOR BE HIRED FOR ADULT AUDIENCES?

Non-fiction children's books are heavily researched, but concise introductory tool for any topic. The reality is most Americans (children and adults, alike!) are still learning about Juneteenth.

The Juneteenth Story is an opportunity for multi-generational learning about this important American holiday.

As a parent, Alliah also speaks about how to frame what can be a difficult conversation with children.

IS THERE A FEE ASSOCIATED WITH AUTHOR VISITS?

Yes - but don’t be afraid to reach out. Alliah has worked with a wide range of organizations, schools, and companies, and enjoys speaking with people from 2 to 102 - and we’ve heard they’ve enjoyed hearing from her, too.

Many people are unaware that traditionally (not self-published) authors only get a small portion of the cover price for each book sold.

There are grants available to help cover the price of author visits and other ways to help supplement the cost, but let’s chat.
